LIE SARI studied medicine at Indonesian Christian University and graduated in 2007 and started practicing medicine since.
Three years later, Lie was introduced to her first hatha yoga class with Carin Lim as her teacher, and decided to explore yoga, and learned from many teachers from different styles of yoga: Daniel Aaron from Vibrant Living Yoga; Ray Long from Bandha Yoga; Martin Kirk, Desiree Rumbaugh;Ashtanga Style from Matthew Sweeney;Iyengar Style from OlopArpipi, and Anusara Style from Jonas Westring.
When her friend at the clinic started to feel curious about yoga, Lie asked that friend to join her in a 30 minutes yoga exercise, and after that, the friend told her that the exercise corrected her lumbar pain and this is the foundation of her interest in training to be a yoga teacher.
With her basic as a doctor, Lie learned new angles in applications of human anatomy in yoga, and the treatment that yoga can gives if done with the right alignment.
In 2016 she got certified as RYT 200 and Anusara Elements Yoga Teacher.
